Each morning I wake up and without missing a beat, the dogs jump up excitedly to greet me as I make my morning tea. As the warmth of the holiday season approaches, I can’t help but think about how thankful I am to share my life with them. The love the dogs and cats in this house show me each day makes me want to help other people have that very same experience.
In honor of the large impact of little things, I’ve decided to hold a big donation drive for Paws United Inc. – and I’d love for you to be a part of it! I’m doing this along with members of my Working with Dog pet business community to help animals in our own community and all around the world!
This year I will be collecting donations to benefit: Paws United Inc.
I chose Paws United Inc. because I believe in and highly praise the work they do, being a safe haven for discriminated, abandoned, and abused dogs. They provide many educational resources for the local community and use any donated funds to help fund a vast range of programs.
When our community provides essential supplies that keep pets fed, healthy, and happy, Paws United Inc can devote their financial resources to things like:
more comfortable facilities
increased medical care
spay/neuter clinics
pet food banks
stronger community programs like their Find-A-Pal program
It takes a lot to provide the basics of animal care. Food, treats, towels, cat litter, puppy pads, and tick and flea treatments add up to thousands of dollars every year. So, I’ll be collecting the following to donate:

Let’s do this together!
Instead of boring shipping boxes sent by mail and opened by a single staff member, it’s so much more fun to fill up the rescue’s gift table with a HEAP of presents all at once, to share the giving spirit and holiday warmth with everyone who works, volunteers, visits, or adopts that week.
As you head out to shop these next few weeks, keep this wish list with you. Purchase an item or two on each trip or go on a big shopping spree if you like.
How to donate:
Every little bit counts. You can make donations through December 15th by emailing me at CJAshmore@pawfectphotomoments.com with an image of your donation and address. Once every two weeks, I will drive around Colorado Springs to pick up donations. Please box all donations.
On Saturday, December 17th, 2022, I will be packing up my SUV and delivering all your donations straight to Paws United Inc. If you are interested, I would also appreciate help packing or delivering donated items as well!
How to share:
I’ll be sharing social posts and sharing pictures of the donated items as the number grows between now and then so you can share in the celebration as we grow our pile of presents higher and higher in my living room these next 5 weeks.
