Frequently Asked Questions!
Breed of the month
01
When do entries close?
Entries close at midnight on the last day of the month!
03
I'm worried that my pet won't sit still. Is that okay?
I don't know many pets that can sit still for long periods of time! But don't worry, I'm used to that! We'll make sure we pick the best location for your pup so he has the best chances of focusing and I have a few pet photographer tricks in my back pocket to help with this!
Also, common to popular belief, most dogs are photographed on lead. I edit this out so the leashes don't show up in the final photos!
05
What if the weather is bad on the day of our session?
We reschedule. Don't worry, I always take the weather into account and will be in touch to talk about another date if we need to! I do not penalize you rescheduling due to the weather.
02
Where does the session take place?
I have a list of recommended locations I can vouch for here in Colorado Springs! Locations include places such as Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Open Space, or Cottonwood Creek Park! We can also do an at home studio-style session for cats or older dogs!
04
Do I have to pay anything?
There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything beyond what you've won. All in all, I spend around 12+ hours per client of my and my staff's time to craft your images and artwork designs for you.
For those interested, we do also offer digital copies of images with most of our physical products.
When you book in, I do require a $100 booking deposit to hold your place in my calendar, as I turn away my full paying clients for that time (they pay a $199 deposit).
The $100 is fully refunded to the same card after your portrait session unless you fail to show up to the meetings or cancel without providing 7 days notice.
Taking a deposit is a common practice for photographers and ensures you show up!
06
Can I be in the photos?
Of course! I recommend you dress appropriately for the weather and location the photo shoot will be taking place, but you are more than welcome to join in the photos! This can be a great way to capture your memories together!
